His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and the National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates. These roles safeguard the security and ensure the prosperity of the country’s people and resources, while fostering resilience, openness, strategic relations, diplomacy, economic and technological development across borders...
His Highness is the Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, which is responsible for developing and implementing policies and strategies related to research, infrastructure and investments in AI and advanced technology to future-proof Abu Dhabi. He is also Chairman of ADIA, ADQ, IHC, FAB, and G42, and serves on the Board of the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs, where Abu Dhabi’s government, fiscal, economic and investment policies are pragmatically monitored.

This approach encompasses forging strategic partnerships, harnessing cutting-edge technology, cultivating a highly skilled long-standing leaders, and fostering long term relationships around the world.
His Highness stands out for his extraordinary discipline as a distinguished sportsman, having taken up cycling professionally and earned a black belt in jiu-jitsu. He established the Abu Dhabi Combat Club, and his intellectual pursuits extend to writing, playing chess, and being an avid reader.
His Excellency Khaldoon Al Mubarak

He is Vice Chairman of MGX and is one of the Middle East’s most prominent and globally-engaged business leaders. He is also an influential UAE government policymaker, and an accomplished international envoy.
He is the Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala, the $302 billion innovative and disruptive sovereign investment firm with assets in more than 50 countries across six international offices. He has led the company from its inception in 2002 and, through organic growth, acquisitions, and mergers, overseen the continuous generation of sustainable financial returns for Mubadala’s shareholder, the Government of Abu Dhabi.
Khaldoon also Chairs the Boards of several significant companies, including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Emirates Global Aluminium and the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation. He also serves on the Board of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and G42, the Abu Dhabi headquartered global AI company.
In addition to his commercial responsibilities, Khaldoon holds the mandate of Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, the specialized government agency that provides strategic policy advice to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. He is also the Presidential Special Envoy to China and leads several significant country files on behalf of the UAE.
He serves as a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council - a position he has held since 2006 - and he is a member of the Abu Dhabi Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs. In January 2024, he became a founding member of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) and in February of the same year he was appointed Vice Chair of the newly founded Mohammed bin Zayed Water Initiative. He is also a member of the Abu Dhabi Advanced Technology Research Council. He co-founded the US-UAE Business Council and the UAE-France Strategic Dialogue and co-chairs the Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum.
Khaldoon was instrumental in establishing New York University Abu Dhabi and serves on the New York University Board of Trustees.
Since 2008 he has been the Chairman of Manchester City Football Club, the most successful Premier League club of the last decade, currently the top-ranked football club globally by revenue and valued as the world’s premier football brand.
Khaldoon is also the Chairman of City Football Group, established in 2013 to be an investor and operator of international football-related businesses. The Group now has 13 Clubs within its global network and is valued at more than US $6 billion.
He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Tufts University in Boston, USA.
His Excellency Jassem Al Zaabi

His Excellency Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi is the Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi. In this capacity, he fosters a culture of fiscal sustainability across all government-related entities and upholds the emirate’s sturdy balance sheet.
His Excellency is also the Secretary General of Abu Dhabi’s Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs, a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the Secretary General of the Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Technology Council, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, Modon Holding PJSC, and e& PJSC (Etisalat).
A prominent leader in the UAE’s economic and financial sectors, H.E. AlZaabi serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Central Bank and Abu Dhabi Holding Company (ADQ). He is also a board member of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Tawazun Economic Council, as well as a member of the Education and Human Resources Council.
H.E. Al Zaabi holds a master’s degree in business administration from the London Business School.
Peng Xiao

Peng Xiao is a global technology and business leader with a track record of building breakthrough products, delivering customer success, and achieving commercial results.
As Group CEO of Abu Dhabi-based G42, Peng is responsible for crafting the group’s business and product strategies and overseeing the operating companies across numerous industry verticals, including smart city, healthcare, energy, finance, and education. The group has developed world-class solutions in AI, big data analytics, mobile technology, and cloud computing, and its offerings are delivered to a wide range of commercial and government clients.
Previously, as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Information Officer of MicroStrategy, Peng spent a decade in the enterprise software industry. Responsible for managing more than 1,000 engineers, Peng led the research and development of the company’s entire product portfolio, including business intelligence, secure identity, and mobile commerce.
Martin Edelman
Member of MGX Board of Directors, Chairman of MGX Board Executive Committee, Chairman of MGX Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Member of MGX Audit and Risk Committee.
Martin Edelman has more than 50 years of legal experience in complex international transactions. He has been an adviser to businesses, corporate and national leadership as well participated in designing and negotiating resolutions of cross border disputes of various kinds.
Martin is an adviser to Mubadala Investment Company, Redbird IMI, and Fortune and is General Counsel of G42. He is on the Boards of Aldar REIT, City Football Group, Equity Commonwealth, Jackie Robinson Foundation, Fallen Heroes Fund and New York City Police Foundation.
Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi

Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi is the CEO of MGX. He was previously CEO of Direct Investments at Mubadala, where he oversaw investments in the energy, technology, life sciences, consumer, industrial, and financial services sectors.
Prior to his roles at Mubadala and MGX, Yahia was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the Principal Investor practice and was also the Managing Partner of the Abu Dhabi practice. He was formerly a Marketing Manager at Procter & Gamble, where he led several flagship brands.
Yahia serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GlobalFoundries and CEPSA and is a member of the board of directors of Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Mubadala Capital and Emirates Global Aluminium. Previously, he served as a board member of AMD from 2012 to 2019.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from École Centrale Paris and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Product Strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Yahia is an independent non-executive director under applicable Nasdaq rules.

Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi

Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi is the CEO of MGX. He was previously CEO of Direct Investments at Mubadala, where he oversaw investments in the energy, technology, life sciences, consumer, industrial, and financial services sectors.

Danny Dweik
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer

Danny Dweik is MGX’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer. He was previously an Executive Director at Mubadala, where he led the Industrials and Business Services sector as well as the Energy and Sustainability sector as part of the Direct Investments platform.
During his tenure at Mubadala, Danny held key leadership roles, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Nova Chemicals, one of Mubadala’s largest assets. He also served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), where he led the post-merger integration and revenue growth program.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Danny was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led engagements for clients in multiple industries and across various strategic topics, including strategy development, operational and performance transformation, M&A and financial due diligence.
He holds an MPA from Harvard University, an MBA from McGill University and a BS degree in Accounting & Finance from the Lebanese American University.
Ali Osman
Chief Investment Officer, Technology

Ali Osman is Chief Investment Officer at MGX, overseeing AI, AI-enabled technology, and global infrastructure investments.
Before joining MGX, Ali spent over 15 years at Mubadala Investment Company, where he led multiple investment teams and units, managing a portfolio exceeding $10 billion in assets under management. He established Mubadala’s Technology unit within the Direct Investments platform, overseeing over $4 billion in investments across software and techenabled services while leading a team of more than 25 investment professionals across offices in Abu Dhabi and New York. Additionally, Ali co-founded Mubadala’s Life Sciences unit, contributing to over $5 billion in strategic investments in the sector.
Ali has served on the boards of organizations including Avalara, Outset Medical, Sterling Pharmaceutical Solutions, and Envision Pharma Group.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
Dr. Guy Harmelin
Chief Investment Officer Industrial & Life Science

Guy Harmelin is Chief Investment Officer of the MGX Industrial & Life Science portfolio responsible for MGX AI-enabled industrial and life science investments.
Prior to MGX, Guy was senior advisor to the CEO of Group 42 and to CIM Group, a US based real asset manager with over $30 billion in AUM.
Guy was previously an investment executive at 7-main, a single-family office focusing on industrial and deep technology investments. Before 7-main, Guy led the direct technology investment arm at Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services, the largest insurance group in Israel with over $120 billion in assets under management.
Prior to joining Harel, Guy was the co-founder and CEO of RondinX, a computational drug target discovery company which merged with BiomX and went public on NYSE in November 2019, and co-founder of Ayala Pharma which went public on NASDAQ in 2021 and was acquired by Immunome.
Guy has an MD from the University of Florence and served as a Resident Physician at the Tel Aviv Medical Center.
Omar Alismail
Member of MGX Investment Committee and member of MGX Management Committee
Omar Alismail is Chief Buildout Officer of the MGX Semiconductors, Regional Infrastructure and Operating Partners groups.
Prior to MGX, Omar established the Mubadala Operating Partners team with 20+ senior executives focused on critical value creation capabilities for Mubadala portfolio companies (e.g., Digitization, Go-to-Market, Operations). During his time at Mubadala, he oversaw value creation across the Mubadala portfolio, generating an estimated ~$2.5bn in incremental EBITDA through transformation initiatives. Prior to establishing the Mubadala Operating Partners group, Omar served as Deputy CFO of GlobalFoundries and co-led the company’s landmark IPO in 2021.
Omar’s previous and current Board observer positions include GlobalFoundries, TM Mining Ventures and Sociedad Minera de Santander.
Omar is a CFA Charterholder, holds an MSc Finance from Imperial College of London, and BSc in Business Administration from American University of Sharjah.
Laila Saif
Chief People Officer

Laila Saif is the Chief People Officer at MGX, where she oversees the overall talent agenda across multiple spectrums including acquisition, organizational culture, employee experience & growth. With over 21 years of international HR leadership experience, including 12 years at Mubadala group companies, Laila has a proven track record of delivery across multiple sectors.
Before joining MGX, Laila served as Director of Human Capital at Emirates Global Aluminium, where she led a team of 60+ HR professionals and implemented HR strategies for over 7,000 employees.
Previously, she founded a successful corporate wellness company and, prior to this, was Head of Human Capital Business Partners at Mubadala, driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through a robust operating model and was involved in several strategic initiatives across the platform. Earlier in her career, Laila worked with GE Capital in Germany and the UK, spearheading talent development initiatives. She also played a key role in advising the leadership of EDGE Group on the comprehensive restructuring and transformation program that consolidated 16 advanced technology and defense companies into a unified platform.
Laila holds an EMBA from the Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi, and is a recipient of the Abu Dhabi Industry Award for outstanding academic achievement.
Andre Namphy
Chief Legal Officer
Member of MGX Investment Committee and member of MGX Management Committee
Andre is responsible for the company’s legal and compliance functions, including all investment related activity, governance and regulatory compliance. He also serves as a member of MGX’s Investment Committee, which reviews and approves proposed transactions and projects, and as a member of MGX’s Management Committee, which reviews and approves policies and procedures.
Prior to MGX, Andre was the General Counsel of Direct Investments at Mubadala Investment Company, where he provided legal oversight for Mubadala’s technology, healthcare, consumer, energy & sustainability, financial services and industrials & business services investments. Andre also served as a member of the Direct Investments Platform Investment Committee, which reviews and approves proposed projects and transactions within the platform. He also served in a variety of other roles at Mubadala commencing in 2010, including as General Counsel of Corporate Finance & Treasury. Before joining Mubadala, Andre worked at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Hong Kong.
Andre received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University, his D.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and his law degree from the Yale Law School.
